Industry groups demand that bloggers remove torrents of the essentially-free 'In Rainbows' album.
The Guardian reports that Recording Industry Association of America and the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry have been orders music bloggers to remove torrents the Radiohead album.
The RIAA wrote, 'These recordings are owned by one of our member companies and have not been authorized for this kind of use'.
And the IFPI requested 'immediate assistance in stopping this unauthorized activity.'
Many of the blogs have already been stricken from Google results.
Granted, they were also offering albums from other artists.
But there's certainly an irony in requesting the removal of torrents of an album that could've been downloaded for free from the band themselves.

Thom Yorke plays new Radiohead song
Thom Yorke played a solo set and slipped in a track now dubbed a new Radiohead song.
The Radiohead frontman performed a 12-song set at the Big Chill Festival in Eastnor in England.
He switched from piano to guitar, wandering through Radiohead songs and tracks from his 2006 solo debut The Eraser.
Before playing the ninth tune, he announced that it was called 'Give Up The Ghost' and that it was 'a new Radiohead song'.
He's been playing the song live here and there this year but until now it hasn't been allotted into the Yorke or Radiohead canon.

Liverpool in race for Belgian starlet
Liverpool have joined Europe's elite in the race to sign Belgian starlet Romelu Lukaku.
"None of the clubs have contacted us or Anderlecht lately, but I know that Real came to see Romelu a few times and the interest is there," Christophe Henrotay told De Standaard.
"There is also interest from Liverpool, Chelsea and all the great European clubs, but it's too soon."
The Daily Mail reports that Lukaku has snubbed an approach from Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho, and Henrotay hinted that his client would be happy to spend more time with the Champions playing first team football.
"The ideal scenario for Romelu is to stay at Anderlecht this year and play in the Champions League. Romelu shouldn't be in any rush."
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba urged the African-born 17-year-old to join the Blues as recently as last month, but any immediate move appears to have stalled.
The level of interest from new Reds boss Roy Hodgson is unknown, but the Anfield club are keen to strengthen their attacking line before the summer transfer window closes at the end of this month. No club has made a concrete move for the player yet, as confirmed by the club.
"We haven't received any concrete bids for Romelu," said manager Herman Van Holsbeeck.
